Description:
Joyce Smith is a Nationally Accredited Provider. This means that she is held to a higher standard of excellence in safety, sanitation, and curriculum. She teaches Zoo Phonics to prepare the children for kindergarten. The local schools also teach with Zoo Phonics, so this program gives the children a great preparation going in.
Joytime Preschool has received grants from First Five of California, and Children's Home Society to enhance the classroom, and provide the children with an abundance of educational materials, props, and fun activities that help the children learn about their world.
Joytime works closely with Placer County Office of Education (PCOE), First Five of California, and Children's Home Society.
Joyce is also a PCOE sponsored mentor for other child care providers in the area. Joyce and her assistant are warm and loving with the children, and strive to have a happy and caring envirement. Both Joyce and her assistant continue their education and college classes to learn more about children. Joyce is very close to recieving her master teachers certificate. The curriculum is planned by the month,and continually thought out for the needs of each child. Joyce networks at provider workshops, and with the providers she mentors. A Folder is kept current on each child for their immuniztion records,and all other information pertaining to that child. Joytime is regulated by California State Licensing and is accredited by National Family Child Care Association. We continually strive to be sensitive and responsive to the childrens needs. We look forward to helping your children learn social skills along with education in their life long journeys in society. |
