ABC KIDDOS is a Registered Family Home specializing in the care and education of young children. This provider is a certified teacher and online tutor and is experienced in Home Daycare.
Children in this facility experience less illness than those in Daycare Centers. Healthful meals and snacks are served daily. Children here by the age of three already know letter names and sounds, days of the week, colors, numbers, and shapes. All children play out of doors in a fenced play yard when weather permits and take walks around the neighborhood.
It is my goal to provide a nurturing environment in which kiddos learn acceptable behaviors through age appropriate activities. Infants are served on their individual schedules.
Young children learn the skills they will need for school success. Kindergarten teachers want to know that children entering their classrooms have learned the skills needed for large group membership. These skills can be learned in a home daycare setting. Skills such as waiting, taking turns, making friends, toileting, respecting other children and their parents and caregivers can all be learned in the home daycare.
Young children, infants, toddlers and preschoolers, need not be placed in large groups where they cannot possibly receive the attention they require and crave and where the staff turnover is inevitable. Young children can learn to resolve conflict, learn how to belong and how to behave without having to be exposed to the confusion and lack of personal acknowledgement so often seen in daycare classrooms of 10 or 12 or 16 children. Children who have been in this daycare as preschoolers, now nearly ten years old, are still friends and buddies.
In my low ratio home daycare, the fearful child is supported and not pushed to perform. He will when he is ready. The feisty child is acknowledged and encouraged and redirected to use his drive in acceptable ways which are relevant to him. The flexible child is supported and not overlooked just because he is easier to get along with.
